We are looking for a male support for our educational projects!
Our main field of activity: Social work with children and youth
Basic info’s:
• Locations: Sir Lowry’s Pass Township & office and flat in Somerset West/ Strand
• Duration: 3 Months
• Staff members: 3, German speaking staff on site
• Start: Earliest 15th October 2014
Areas of work and programmes:
• social consultations in Sir Lowry’s Pass Township
• after school projects
• social support & educational development in Strand
You’ll be involved in:
• Weekly update of social media
• Project Planning (including development, sponsoring, implementation)
• Administrative tasks: simple petty cash accounting, newsletters, sponsor contact
• On hand work in underprivileged areas: hospital visits, document applications, sin-gle case support in urgent matters, school visits
• Caretaking and supervision of events & outings
• After school project schedule: planning and mentoring
• Set up affiliate programmes
Your Profile:
• Good empathy and communication skills are a MUST! Also useful are psychological and / or educational knowledge
• Applicants should have interest and motivation for development cooperation
• High degree of motivation, initiative and self-reliance are required
• Interest in the existing projects but also own ideas should be brought
• Craft skills or hobbies are urgently needed!
• Already completed internships and abroad experiences are welcome
• At least good skills in English
• Driving license
